8/20/2013 SUMMARY: During July, Ford continued to dominate the competition in overall online discussions. Among all auto brands except for Chrysler, overall online conversations fell back in line with May’s figures. Chrysler saw a 20% increase in online conversations primarily due to the Chrysler 300 being mentioned in a Consumer’s Report article. Discussions of Quality and Price were strongest among the German brands. Mercedes, with its strong safety reputation, had the greatest mentions of Safety (“Like A Human” is the top performing luxury ad in July). Performance dialog within Audi brand conversations remained strong.
