SUMMARY: During October, Ford maintained the overall lead in online discussions, but both BMW and Toyota surpassed Chevrolet, who saw the largest decline in October (-16%). Lexus experienced the largest increase of the month due to a meme on Tumblr referencing a Macklemore song lyric where it mentions driving a Lexus. Not surprising, discussions of Quality and Price were strongest among the German luxury brand, BMW. Mercedes, with several recent ads that emphasize and demonstrate safety features, had the greatest mentions of Safety. Performance dialog was strongest for Mercedes and Ford.
